Raised in a family of boaters, I developed a love of the water at a young age. Spending time as a child in the marshes behind my family’s Beach Haven home, I soon became fascinated with the back bays and estuaries of Long Beach Island and the adjacent mainland.
By the age of eight, I was beginning to be a regular on the family fishing boat. From flounder fishing in the bays and inlets to inshore and offshore trips for tuna, shark, bluefish and stripers, I became an experienced mariner and angler by the time I reached my pre-teen years.
Since then I have run large sport-fishing boats to the canyons, sailed from the Chesapeake to Bermuda, commercial fished for tuna and swordfish, sailed in a national championship, worked as a sailing instructor at a local boat rental facility and got my 100 TON USCG Masters License.
What I enjoy most is time on the water with family and friends. No two days are the same and even after thousands of hours on the water, I still discover something new on each trip. My goal is to help others enjoy the water the way I have. It’s my belief that if you feel comfortable with your skills and have a little local knowledge you will truly enjoy your days on the water.
It would be my pleasure to help you on your journey.
Fair Winds and Calm Seas,
Captain Ed Boyle
